ROADS ACT, 1993

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

 

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following roads for the period and reason specified below:

 

Roads Subject of Closure

L-4754, New Street, Bantry, Co. Cork and L-4754 Bridge Street, Bantry, Co. Cork.

 

Period of Closure

From 08:00hrs to 18:00hrs (Daily Closure) on Wednesday 22^nd March 2023 to Sunday 2^nd April 2023.

Reason for Closure

To facilitate Site Investigation.

 

Alternative Routes

For the L-4754 New Street Closure, traffic should divert via the N-71, onto L-4750 Barrack Street, then L-4749 Main Street and then onto either High Street L-4755 or Bridge Street L-4754.

 

For the L-4754 Bridge Street Closure, traffic should divert onto High Street, L-4755, then L-4715 Scart Road, then L-4731 and L-4716 onto Chapel Street L-4752.

 

For the L-4754 Bridge Street Closure, Heavy Commercial traffic should divert onto the Rope Walk L-4715, then L-4715 Scart Road, then the L-4731 and L-4716 onto Chapel Street L-4752.
