Road Closure - R585 Kealkill, Bantry from Monday 8th to Friday 31st May 2024 to facilitate the Installation of a New Watermain.

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below: -

Road Subject of Closure

R-585, Kealkill, Bantry, Co. Cork. From the east side of Kealkill Village to the waterworks on the eastern side of Kealkill.

Period of Closure

From 08:00hrs to 18:00hrs (Daily Closure) on Monday 8^th April 2024 to Friday 31^st May 2024.

Reason for Closure

To facilitate the Installation of a New Watermain.

Alternative Routes

From Kealkill Village, continue north eastwards on the R-584 towards Ballingeary. At Ballingeary, continue on the R-584 through Inchigeelagh to Toonsbridge. At Toonsbridge, turn right onto the R-587 to Shanlaragh/ R-585 junction. Turn right onto R-585 and proceed towards Kealkill. When travelling in the opposite direction, follow the above directions, in reverse.

Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.

Ó Chaolchoill, lean soir ó thuaidh ar an R-584 i dtreo Bhéal Átha an Ghaorthaidh. I mBéal Átha an Ghaorthaidh, lean ar aghaidh ar an R-584 trí Inse Geimhleach go dtí Droichead na Toinne. Ag Droichead na Toinne, cas ar dheis ar an R-587 ag acomhal Sheanlárach/R-585. Cas ar dheis ar an R-585 agus lean ar aghaidh i dtreo Chaolchoill. Beidh feidhm ag na treoracha seo san ord contrártha agus trácht ag taisteal sa treo eile.
