TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

Road Subject of Closure

M8 From Glanmire Junction No. 18 to Corrin Junction No. 15 Northbound and Southbound Lanes, Co. Cork.

Period of Closure

From 19:30hrs to 06:30hrs (Nightly Closure) on Friday, 12^th April 2024 to Friday, 7^th June 2024 Northbound lanes.

From 19:30hrs to 06:30hrs (Nightly Closure) on Monday, 20^th May 2024 to Friday, 26^th July 2024 Southbound lanes.

Reason for Closure

To facilitate Pavement resurfacing and associated road markings.

Alternative Routes

Northbound traffic will be diverted at Junction 18 Glanmire on to the R639, continue along this road going through the villages of Watergrasshill & Rathcormac and re-entering the M8 at the Interchange of Junction 15 at Corrin.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
