URGENT TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993, and Article 12 (6), in Part 8 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that the urgent closure of the road as detailed below is necessary, in the interests of public safety.

Road Subject of Urgent Closure

L-7617-0 Sandyhill/Glenathonacash to Walshtown More, Midleton, Co Cork.

Period of Urgent Closure

From 16:00hrs on Tuesday 16^th of April 2024 to 17:00hrs on Monday 30^th September 2024

(24hr Closure).

Reason for Urgent Closure

To facilitate an Emergency Road closure due to partial collapse of bridge structure.

Alternative Routes

Traffic will be diverted from Walshtown More on L-7615-0 via L-7616-0 to 3 Cross Roads Glenthonacash on L-76171-0 to 3 Cross Roads, Sandyhill.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

You should note that this Urgent Closure does not facilitate the making of objections/observations.
