Road Closure - R522 Railway crossing at Buttevant from Friday 17th to Sunday 19th May 2024 to facilitate Railway infrastructure maintenance and renewal.

ROADS ACT, 1993

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

Road Subject of Closure

R522 – Railway crossing at Buttevant, Co. Cork.

Period of Closure

From 22:00hrs on Friday 17^th of May 2024 to 15:00hrs on Sunday 19^th of May 2024 (24hr Closure).

Reason for Closure

To facilitate the undertaking of necessary Railway infrastructure maintenance and renewal.

Alternative Routes

Traffic on the N20 will divert off the N20 onto the L1320 (Churchtown Junction). From there they will travel to Churchtown where they will continue along the L1321 back onto the R522.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure. However, traffic will not be permitted to cross the railway line where the works are being undertaken.

Bealaí Malartacha

Cuirfear an trácht ar an N20 ar mhalairt slí ón N20 go dtí an L1320 (Acomhal Bhaile an Teampaill). As sin, rachaidh an trácht ar aghaidh go dtí Baile an Teampaill agus leanfar ar aghaidh ar an L1321 ar ais go dtí an R522.

Beidh feidhm ag an malairt slí seo san ord contrártha agus trácht ag taisteal sa treo eile.
