About Garrylucas, White Strand
Garrylucas beach is a gently sloping, sandy beach which is flanked on both sides by rocky cliffs. The beach is a south west facing beach and is quite open to rough weather and rough seas. Garrylucas beach has sand dunes to the north and Garrylucas Marsh proposed Natural Heritage Area (pNHA 000087) is located north of the dunes. Garrylucas, White Strand has achieved an Excellent Water Quality rating for the four consecutive years 2019 to 2022. Annual water quality ratings are generally calculated using monitoring results over a four-year period and are assessed against stringent bacterial limits to protect bather health.
