ROADS ACT, 1993

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-

Road Subject of Closure

L3618 Castlerock Avenue, Waterrock, Co Cork

Period of Closure

From 07:00hrs on Monday 30^th March 2026 to 07:00hrs on Thursday, 30^th April 2026 (24hr Closure)

Reason for Closure

To facilitate Service Installations and Road Realignment works for the Waterrock Road Upgrade

Alternative Routes

Approaching from the L-3617 Carrigane Road continue eastward to the R626 Lisgould Road. Continue to the crossroads and turn right on to the L-3822 Northern Relief Road and continue to the crossroads with the R907. Go straight through this junction to the roundabout and take the 3^rd exit onto the N25. Take the next exit at Barrycourt Slip and take the 3^rd exit at the roundabout onto the L-3612. At the T junction take a right and continue straight back onto the N25 to the junction with Castlerock Avenue.

Approaching from the N25 continue eastward to Midleton. At the traffic lights turn left onto the Northern Relief Road, continue to the next set of traffic lights and turn left onto the R626 Lisgould Road. Continue along this road until turning left onto the L-3617 Carrigane Road.

Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.

Má tá tú ag druidim leis an dúnadh ón L-3617 Bóthar Carragáin, lean ar aghaidh i dtreo an oirthir ar an R626 Bóthar Lios Cúil. Lean ar aghaidh go dtí an crosbhóthar agus cas ar dheis ar an L-3822 Bóthar Faoisimh Thuaidh agus lean ar aghaidh chomh fada leis an gcrosbhóthar atá ann leis an R907. Téigh díreach tríd an acomhal seo chomh fada leis an timpeallán agus tóg an 3ú bealach amach ar an N25. Tóg an chéad bhealach amach eile ag Barrycourt Slip agus tóg an 3ú bealach amach ag an timpeallán ar an L-3612. Ag an T-acomhal, cas ar dheis agus lean díreach ar aghaidh chun filleadh ar an N25 ag an acomhal atá ann le Castlerock Avenue.

Má tá tú ag druidim leis an dúnadh ón N25, lean ar aghaidh i dtreo an oirthir chomh fada le Mainistir na Corann. Cas ar chlé ag na soilse tráchta ar an mBóthar Faoisimh Thuaidh, lean ar aghaidh go dtí an chéad tacar eile de shoilse tráchta agus cas ar chlé ar an R626 Bóthar Lios Cúil. Lean ar aghaidh feadh an bhóthair seo roimh chasadh ar chlé ar an L-3617 Bóthar Carragáin.

Coinneofar Rochtain Áitiúil fad is a bheidh an dúnadh bóthair i bhfeidhm.
