TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following roads for the period and reason specified below:-

Roads Subject of Closure

M8 Motorway, Southbound, between Junction 13 and Junction 14, County Cork.

Period of Closure

1. From 20:00hrs to 06.00hrs (Nightly Closure) from Monday, 23^rd March, 2026 to Friday, 27^th March, 2026

2. From 20:00hrs to 06.00hrs (Nightly Closure) from Monday, 13^th April, 2026 to Friday, 17^th April, 2026

3. From 20:00hrs to 06.00hrs (Nightly Closure) from Monday, 27^th April, 2026 to Friday, 1^st May, 2026

Reason for Closure

To facilitate installation of overhead gantry electronic information sign.

Alternative Routes

Alternative route via the R639. Traffic diverted off the M8 at Junction 13, and back onto the M8 motorway at Junction 14.

Local Access will not be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.
