TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following roads for the period and reason specified below:

Note – revised start time for Stage 12 & 15 (Sam's Cross). The other stages remain as previously advertised in the Southern Star dated Saturday 28^th February 2026.

West Cork Rally 2026

Sunday 15^th March 2026

Stage 12 & 15 Sam's Cross – (from 10:10hrs to 18:00hrs)

L-80041-0, L-8004-0, L-8003-24, L-8007-0, L-8006-20, L-8006-0, L-4240-18, L-4240-46, L-8016-0, L-8014-0, L-8014-8, L-4002-20, L-40025-0, L-4003-0, L-8012-0, L-8013-0, L-80131-0.

From Farlehanes to N71, Pike near Lisavaird Hall via Knocks, Bealad West, Derrybaun, Castleventry, Maulvirane, Foxhall, Frehanes, Cahermore, Froe, Garrane, Derryduff, Coolcraheen, Tullyneasky West, Tullyneasky East.

Alternative Routes

Take R599 south to N71, turn right and take N71.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

In addition, all adjoining public roads will be closed for a distance of 205 metres from the junctions with the roads listed above.

Local Access will not be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.
