Road Closure - L8054 Aghamilla , L8055 Kilgarriff from Monday 8th June to Friday 17th July 2026 to facilitate Construction of new underground duct route.

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes will close the following roads for the period and reason specified below:-

Roads Subject of Closure

(A) L-8054-0 Aghamilla closed between Junctions R559 & Kilgarriff Cottages Junction(L-8055-52), Clonakilty

(B) L-8055-52 - Kilgarriff closed between junctions L8054, Kilgarriff Cottages and R588 Fernhill Road, Clonakilty.

Period of Closure

From 07:00hrs to 17.00hrs (Daily Closure) on Monday 8^th June, 2026 to Friday, 17^th July, 2026

Reason for Closure

To facilitate Construction of new underground duct route.

Alternative Routes

Traffic traveling east for L-8054-0 will be diverted east via R559, left at N71, then straight at roundabout to R880, turn left at R588 Fernhill Rd, turn left for L-8055-52 where detours ends.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.
