TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-

Period of Closure

From 19.00hrs to 06.00hrs (Nightly Closure) on Monday, 21^st September, 2026 to Thursday, 24^th September, 2026

Reason for Closure

To facilitate Road resurfacing works

Alternative Routes

From Wolfe Tone Square: via William Street (Reversed traffic flow)/Chapel Street/Market Street/Barrack Street/Glengarriff Road;

From Church Road: via Barrack Street/Glengarriff Road;

From Chapel Street: via Market Street/Barrack Street/Glengarriff Road.

Local pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure. Emergency vehicular access will be accommodated where necessary — i.e. ambulance, fire service.
