Road Closure - R624 Fota Road Cobh from Thursday 2nd to Saturday 4th July 2026 (8pm to 6am) to facilitate Road Resurfacing Works.

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

Road Subject of Closure

R-624 Fota Road, Cobh, Co. Cork.

Period of Closure

From 20:00hrs to 06:00hrs (Nightly Closure) from Thursday 2^nd July 2026 to Saturday 4^th July 2026.

Reason for Closure

To facilitate Road Resurfacing works.

Alternative Routes

Approaching from Cobh take the right at the Fota Resort entrance on to the L-3619 Ballintubber Road, continue along this road and take the second left by Rossmore on to the L-3612 towards Carrigtohill Village, at the Roundabout take the first left on to the N25, continue to the first turn off on the left to the R624.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local Access will not be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.

Má tá tú ag druidim leis an dúnadh ón gCóbh - cas ar dheis ag bealach isteach Fota Resort ar an L-3619 Bóthar Bhaile an Tobair, lean ar aghaidh feadh an bhóthair seo agus tóg an dara casadh ar chlé ag an Ros Mór ar an L-3612 i dtreo Sráidbhaile Charraig Thuathail, tóg an chéad chasadh ar chlé ag an Timpeallán ar an N25, lean ar aghaidh go dtí an chéad chasadh ar chlé ar an R624.
