ROADS ACT, 1993

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-

R574, Adrigole to Inchintaglin, Adrigole, Castletownbere, Co Cork

Period of Closure

From 20.00hrs to 07.00hrs (Nightly Closure) on Monday, 25^th May 2026 to Friday, 19^th June 2026

Reason for Closure

To facilitate Replacement of watermain

Alternative Routes

Traffic travelling from Adrigole, proceed west along the R571 to Castletownbere and from there northwards to Lauragh, turn right at Lauragh onto the R574.  

Travelling to Adrigole, at the junction of the R574 and the R571 (at Lauragh) keep travelling west as far as Castletownbere, then continue eastwards along the R571 to Adrigole.

Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.

Má tá tú ag taisteal go dtí Eadargóil, ag an acomhal atá ann idir an R574 agus an R571 ag an Láithreach, lean ar aghaidh ag taisteal i dtreo an iarthair chomh fada le Baile Chaisleáin Bhéarra, lean ar aghaidh i dtreo an oirthir ansin feadh an R571 go dtí Eadargóil.
