Road Closure - M8 between Jtn 17 , Jtn 14 from Sunday 14th to Sunday 28th June 2026 to facilitate pavement repairs, pavement structural survey and inspections.

ROADS ACT, 1993

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

Road Subject of Closure

Motorway M8, North- or Southbound, 1 direction at a time only, between

Junction 17 (Watergrasshill) and Junction 14 Fermoy North (Moorepark) or parts

Thereof.

Period of Closure

From 19.30hrs to 06.00hrs (Nightly Closure) for a maximum of 10 nights between Sunday 14th June 2026 and Sunday 28^th June 2026.

Reason for Closure

To facilitate pavement repairs, pavement structural survey and inspections.

Alternative Routes

Diversions via R639 between Junction 14 and 17 of the M8 Motorway in one or the other direction or parts thereof.

Local access will not be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.
