Road Closure - R626 Ballincurrig from Friday 18th to Sunday 20th September 2026 to facilitate the playing of Road Bowling Competitions.

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

Road Subject of Closure

R626 Ballincurrig, Co. Cork – from its junction with the L7604 at Ballincurrig to its junction with the L96262 at Rathcobane.

Period of Closure

From 09:30hrs to 19:30hrs (Daily Closure) from Friday 18^th September 2026 to Sunday 20^th September 2026.

Reason for Closure

To facilitate the playing of Road Bowling Competitions.

1. Annual All-Ireland Road Bowling finals

2. 38^th International King & Queen of the Roads

Alternative Routes

Travelling from Midleton divert off the R-626 at its Junction with the LP3601 at Ballyedmond Hill, detour via the LP3601 Castlelyons Road to Two Pot Cross and via L3600 to Leary's Cross forward to the R628 to its junction with the R626 at Ballinterry Crossroads, Rathcormac.
