Urgent Road Closure - R627 Midleton to Dungourney Road near Ballinacole Cross from Friday 20th October 2023 to facilitate Replacement of a Collapsed Culvert.

URGENT TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act, 1993, and Article 12 (6), in Part 8 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that the urgent closure of the road as detailed below is necessary, in the interests of public safety:

Road Subject of Urgent Closure

R627-64 Midleton to Dungourney Road, Co. Cork – near Ballinacole Cross towards Dungourney Village.

Period of Urgent Closure

From 13.00hrs on Friday 20^th October 2023. Date of reopening will be provided in due course.

Reason for Urgent Closure

To facilitate the Replacement of a Collapsed Culvert on the Regional Road Carriageway.

Alternative Routes

Road Traffic using the R627 from Tallow travelling to Midleton will have to divert in Dungourney Village with a left turn on to the L3805 heading for Mogeely Village. In Mogeely traffic will turn right onto the L3809 heading towards Two Mile Inn T-junction, turn right on N25 which leads to Midleton. The same route is applicable in reverse.

You should note that this Urgent Closure does not facilitate the making of objections/observations.
