Road Closure - L6989 Knockraha East from Tuesday 31st October to Friday 15th December 2023 to facilitate the installation of ducting for Celtic Interconnector

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

Road Subject of Closure

L-6989 Knockraha East Road, Co. Cork.

Period of Closure

From 06:00hrs on Tuesday 31^st October 2023 to 18:00hrs on Friday 15^th December 2023 (24hr Closure).

Reason for Closure

To facilitate the installation of ducting as part of the Celtic Interconnector Project.

Alternative Routes

Driving from the East towards Knocrkara along the L-2966 at Pigeon Hill continue on this road until the Crossroads with the L-6990 turn right towards Glenmore stores, continue on this road until the T junction with the L-2964, then turn right.

The diversion route is the same in reverse.

Local Access will be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.

Ag tiomáint ón oirthear i dtreo Chnoc Rátha feadh an L-2966 ag Cnoicín an Cholúir, lean ar aghaidh ar an mbóthar seo go dtí an Crosaire leis an L-6990. Cas ar dheis i dtreo Shiopa an Ghleanna Mhóir, lean ar aghaidh ar an mbóthar seo go dtí an T-acomhal leis an L-2964, agus cas ar dheis ansin.
