Road Closure - L2041 Watergate Street, Bandon on Tuesday 24th September 2024 (10am to 9pm) to facilitate ESB Substation Works.

ROADS ACT, 1993

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below:-

Road Subject of Closure

L-2041-0(Part), Watergate Street, Bandon, Co. Cork - from just east of the Co-op entrance to 20 metres west of St Fintan's Road junction.

Period of Closure

From 10:00hrs to 21.00hrs on Tuesday 24^th September 2024 (one day only).

Reason for Closure

To facilitate ESB Substation Works.

Alternative Routes

Traffic intending to travel from Watergate Street to Kilbeg shall divert west along Watergate Street and turn right onto Old Cork Road (L-2040-0). Turn right onto Macroom Road (R589-0) and continue onto the R589-18 & R589-43. At Kilpatrick turn right onto L-6068-0 while travelling north-eastwards and turn right onto L-6069-23 at Woodlands Cross continuing onto L-6069-0 towards Kilbeg and Watergate Street to approach the close road from the opposite side.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local Access will not be maintained throughout the duration of the closure.

Cas ar dheis ar Bhóthar Mhaigh Chromtha (R589-0) agus lean ar aghaidh chomh fada leis an R589-18 agus an R589-43. Cas ar dheis ag Cill Phádraig ar an L-6068-0 agus tú ag taisteal soir ó thuaidh sula gcasfaidh sé ar dheis ar an L-6069-23 ag Woodlands Cross ag leanúint ar aghaidh ar an L-6069-0 i dtreo na Cille Bige agus Watergate Street chun druidim leis an mbóthar dúnta ón taobh eile.
