ROADS ACT, 1993

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

Road Subject of Closure

L-4711-0 Caherdaniel, Bantry/Castledonovan Road, Bantry, Co. Cork.

Period of Closure

From 07:00hrs to 19:00hrs (Daily Closure) on Tuesday 31^st October 2023 to Friday 1^st December 2023.

Reason for Closure

To facilitate Installation of a new watermain.

Alternative Routes

From the Glengarriff Road (near the Peace Park): Continue into Bantry town along the N71 (Glengarriff Road), towards the town Square. Turn left onto New St. and onto Bridge St. (L-4754). Continue onto Chapel St. and School Road (L-4752). Finally continue out on the L-4709 towards Ardnageehy and bear left onto L-4712.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.

Cas ar chlé ar an tSráid Nua agus ar Shráid an Droichid. (L-4754). Lean ar aghaidh ar Shráid an tSéipéil agus ar Bhóthar na Scoile (L-4752). Ag an deireadh ar fad, lean ar aghaidh ag dul amach ar an L-4709 i dtreo Ard na Gaoithe agus cas ar chlé ar an L-4712.
