Bridge Repairs R588 Clonomara Bridge, Enniskean

ROADS ACT, 1993

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

 

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

 

Road Subject of Closure

R588 (Part of ),Clonomara Bridge, Enniskeane, Co. Cork.

 

Period of Closure

From 08.00hrs on Monday 20th June 2022 to 12.00pm on Friday 8th July 2022.

(24hr Closure).

 

Reason for Closure

To facilitate Bridge Repair works on Clonomara Bridge on the R588.

 

Alternative Routes

In Coppeen go west on the R585 to Glan Cross.  At Glan Cross keep left and continue along R585 to Shanlaragh Cross.  At Shanlaragh Cross travel south on the R587 to Dunmanway Town, at junction with R586 turn east to Enniskeane Village.

 

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
