ROADS ACT, 1993

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

 

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

 

Road Subject of Closure

R586-12 (Part of) Emmett Row, Bandon - from its junction with the R589-0 at Kilbrogan Hill to its junction with the L-2022-0 at Allen Square.

 

Period of Closure

From 11:00hrs on Saturday 4^th June 2022 to 03:00hrs on Monday 6^th of June 2022. (24hr Closure).

 

Reason for Closure

To facilitate Bandon Music Festival.

 

Alternative Routes

Traffic travelling east from Bandon towards Enniskeane via R586-12, will be diverted right on to R589-0 at Kilbrogan Hill, then left onto the L-2023-0 at the Shamble and then turn right rejoining the R586-12 again on the opposite side of the road closure.

 

This alternative route is also applicable in the reverse, when travelling from Enniskeane to Bandon.
