ROADS ACT, 1993

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS



Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council proposes to temporarily close the following roads for the period and reason specified below:-



Roads Subject of Proposed Closure

L-5073-0; L-50731-0 at Drominagore and Clonrobin townlands, Kanturk – in phases



Period of Proposed Closure

From 00:00hrs on Monday 28th September to 23.59hrs on Friday 18th December 2020. (24hr Closure)



Reason for Proposed Closure

To facilitate Rehabilitation of water mains and all the associated assets



Alternative Routes:

Phase 1:

Closure of the L-5073. Traffic will be diverted towards Kilbrin and then will turn left onto the LT-50731-0 Drominagore Rd and continue on the road onto Drominagore Cross. This alternative route is also applicable in the reverse.

Phase 2/Phase 3:

Closure of the LT-50731-0. Traffic will be diverted onto the LP-1045 towards Kanturk and then turn right onto the L-5073 at Knocknacolan. This alternative route is also applicable in the reverse.



Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure



Objections to this proposed temporary road closure should be made in writing, to the undersigned, quoting Ref: TRC 143-2020, not later than 5pm on Tuesday 8th September 2020. Telephone contact details should be included in the objection.
