Road Closure - L2019 Carhoon East/Killountain, Bandon from Monday 8th to Friday 30th June 2023 to facilitate watermain construction.

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS
Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below:
Road Subject of Closure
L-2019-0 Carhoon East/Killountain, Bandon, Co. Cork – part – including Baxters Bridge – from its junction with R586 to its junction with the L-2018-0).
Period of Closure
From 19:30hrs to 07:00hrs (Nightly Closure) on Monday 8th of May 2023 to Friday 30th of June 2023.
Reason for Closure
To facilitate watermain construction.
Alternative Routes
Traffic intending to access the L-2019 from the north side, shall divert east along the R586-25, R586-12 and R586-0 to Bandon. At Bridge Place turn left onto Glasslinn Road, take the 2nd road exit at the Roundabout onto Bandon Bypass, (N71-102 and then N71-1018), at the next junction turn right onto N71-1013, turn left at the mini roundabout onto N71-1001 followed by the N71-993 and N71-982 at Knockaveale turn right onto the L-2019-0, follow the road to approach the closed road from the opposite side.
The stated diversion is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.
