Road Closure - L6474 Shanbally from Friday 10th February to Thursday 30th March 2023 to facilitate Replacement of a Watermain.

ROADS ACT, 1993

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

 

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

 

Road Subject of Closure

L-6474-0, Shanbally, Co. Cork – From the junction of L-2492-0 (Shanbally Grotto) to junction with R-613 (Barnahely).

 

Period of Closure

From 07.00hrs on Friday 10^th February 2023 to 07.00hrs on Thursday 30^th March 2023 (24hr Closure).

 

Reason for Closure

To facilitate Replacement of a Watermain.

 

Alternative Routes

Traffic travelling in a Westerly direction on the R613 wishing to access locations West of the closed section should proceed in a Westerly direction along the R-613 to the junction of the L-2492-0 at Coolmore Cross, they should turn right onto the L-2492-0 and proceed in a Northerly direction.

 

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

 

Local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
