Road Closure - L2037 Church Hill, Innishannon from Thursday 16th to Friday 24th February 2023 to facilitate Road Resurfacing works.

ROADS ACT, 1993

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

 

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

 

Road Subject of Closure

L-2037-24 (Part), Church Hill, Innishannon, Co. Cork – from the N71 junction to Joan Bantry’s Cross.

Works area to contain two phases above and below the recent surfacing area on Church Hill.

 

Period of Closure

From 09:00hrs on Thursday 16^th February 2023 to 18:00hrs on Friday 24^th February 2023

(24hr Closure).

 

Reason for Closure

To facilitate Road Resurfacing on Church Hill.

 

Alternative Routes

Traffic intending to access the L-2037-24 from the N71 junction shall divert east along the N71-1060, N71-1065, N71-1066, at Farnahoe turn left onto L-2036-18, at Spreades Cross turn left onto L-2038-0, follow the road to approach the road closure from the opposite side.

 

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

 

Local access to the Estates and Church will be maintained throughout the duration of the road closure, except for when surfacing past each Estate junction.
