Road Closure - L6054 Kilbrogan, Bandon from Monday 27th March to Friday 7th April 2023 to facilitate watermain construction.

ROADS ACT, 1993

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

 

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following road for the period and reason specified below:

 

Road Subject of Closure

L-6054-0 (Part) Kilbrogan, Bandon, Co. Cork – from Quinlan’s Cross to Cross west of Callatrim House.

 

Period of Closure

From 08:00hrs on Monday 27^th of March 2023 to 18:00hrs on Friday 7^th of April 2023. (24hr Closure).

 

Reason for Closure

To facilitate watermain construction.

 

Alternative Routes

Traffic intending to access L-6054-0 at Quinlan’s Cross shall divert west along L-2039-0 (Kilborgan Street), turn right onto L-2011-127 (Convent Hill), turn right onto L-2033-0 towards Curryclogh and then turn right onto L-6053-0 to pass the closed road from the opposite side.

 

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

 

Where possible, local access will be maintained throughout the duration of the Road Closure.
