ROADS ACT, 1993

TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

 

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following roads for the period and reason specified below:

 

West Cork International Rally 2023

Saturday 18^th March 2023 – Sunday 19^th March 2023

 

Rally Service Area – Darrara

Saturday 18^th March 2023 & Sunday 19^th March 2023

 

Road Subject of Closure

L-4016-0(Part), Darrara, Clonakilty, Co. Cork – from its junction with the R600-521, to the next crossroads southwards L-4015-27 & L-4015-40.

 

Period of Closure

Saturday 18^th March 2023 – 08:00hrs to 18:00hrs

Sunday 19^th March 2023 – 08:00hrs to 15:30hrs

 

Alternative Routes

Traffic intending to travel south bound on the L-4016-0 from the R600-521 junction shall be diverted east along the R600-505, turn right at Clashflugh Cross Roads onto L-4015-40, follow onto the next crossroads as approaching the road closure from the opposite side.

The stated diversion route is applicable in reverse when travelling in the opposite direction.

 

In addition, all adjoining public roads will be closed for a distance of 205 metres from the junctions with the roads listed above.
