TEMPORARY CLOSING OF PUBLIC ROADS

 

Pursuant to Section 75 of the Roads Act 1993, & Article 12 of the Roads Regulations 1994, notice is hereby given that Cork County Council will close the following roads for the period and reason specified below:

 

West Cork International Rally 2023

Saturday 18^th March 2023 – Sunday 19^th March 2023

Sunday 19^th March 2023

 

Stages 9 & 12 Shanaway Stage (09:55hrs to 17:40hrs)

 

Roads Subject of Closure:

L4630-8, L8611-0, L4631-0, L4631-14, L46312-0, L8610-0(Part), L8600-29, L8600-0, L8601-0, L4641-33(Part), L4631-72(Part), L8615-0, L4641-5.

From Junction L4630-8 Derrymeeleen at the R588 to Ballingurteen.

(via Derrymeeleen, Shanaway East, Curraghcrowly West, Knockaneady, Phale Upper, Shanaway Middle, Shanaway West, Ballinard, Knocks, Carhoovauler, Kilbeloge, Clooncorban, Kilmeen, Glebe, Caherkirky, Billinvard, Lisnabrinny, Gortnadihy).

 

Alternative Routes:

 

Alternative access to local roads via the R588, L4034 and the R599. 

 

In addition, all adjoining public roads will be closed for a distance of 205 metres from the junctions with the roads listed above.
