About Warren, Cregane Strand

Warren beach is a south east facing, gently sloping, sandy beach backing onto sand dunes (dunes extend between 40m & 50m). It is located in a small bay set back approx. 500m from the coastline which provides some shelter to the beach. Rosscarbery Estuary proposed Natural Heritage Area (pNHA 001075) discharges to Rosscarbery Bay via a channel to the south west of the beach. The beach is used by limited numbers of surfers, windsurfers, canoeists, and anglers.. View available amenities and tide information at Beaches.ie.

Latest Annual Bathing Water Quality Report

Warren, Cregane Strand is classified as achieving Good Water Quality in 2023 based on the assessment of bacteriological results for the period 2020 to 2023. Warren, Cregane Strand had a Good Water Quality Rating in 2022 and 2021, and achieved an Excellent Water Quality rating in 2020. Annual water quality ratings are generally calculated using monitoring results over a four-year period and are assessed against stringent bacterial limits to protect bather health.
